Cordless Aeg Powertools
The world of power tools, which are essential tools for every profession, has changes drastically through the years.
In the last years, thanks to constant innovation, corded tools have gradually been replaced with modern and adaptable electrical tools powered by batteries. The batteries, at the beginning, were not even made with lithium but with lead and eventually with cadmium nickel. Initially, in fact, they were particularly heavy, and the charge of the battery would not hold and took a long time to fully charge. Modern lithium batteries, on the other hand, have deposed corded tools and made cordless tools a valid alternative.
What to consider about a lithium battery for power tools
The main characteristics of the batteries that catch the eye is the voltage. In time, some universal parameters were outlined and the most common cordless power tools on the market are those of 12, 14,4 and 18 volts. The voltage shows the power of the battery, the higher the volt, higher will be the maximum engine torque of the tool. To help you appreciate how cordless tools have replaced traditional corded tools, the screwdriver drill with Aeg BSB 18LI percussion, in the 4 Ah version, has a maximum engine torque of 80Ah, while a corded percussion drill, with a 1100-watt motor only has 60N.
Another particularly important parameter is the Ampere Hour (or Ah). These measure the capacity of the battery, that is, how long that battery lasts. Naturally, higher the maximum engine torque, longer it will last. In this case, the universal measures are set up of 2,0 Ah and 4,0 Ag (which have replaced the preceding from 1,5 and 3,0 Ah). The amperage slightly weights on the power. The compact screwdriver drill Aeg BS 18C, in the 2,0 Ah version, has a maximum engine torque of 60Nm, while the 4,0 Ah version, increases to 70 Nm. Obviously, higher the amperage, higher will be the charging time. Using original AEG chargers, a 18V 2,0 battery requires about 40 minutes to charge, while the 4,0 Ah version about 80 minutes.
Cordless screwdriver: the most celebrated battery tool.
It is the most celebrated power tool on the market, it represents the category and it is the first tool that comes to mind when talking about this subject. Commercially, it is the tool that has the highest market share, therefore, also the highest invoice. This is naturally a consequence since professionals, from electricians to construction workers, from furniture assemblers to carpenters, use the drill for many hours a day. Its uses are many: to drill, screw and much more. Currently, the advantage of these drills is their long lithium battery life and shorter charging time. Almost all cordless drills (except the ones sold in version 0).
